2020, was a year of uncertainty. We were all challenged on how to cope with new normal. 2021 gave us a glimpse of hope for normalcy. Vaccines were made available, more cars on the road, more people going out may it be for vacation, work, or health. Yet, if you look around you, familiar places do not look the same. Some shops are closed, office spaces vacant, number of employees decreased.Â
Similar with Cooee, our partners, managers and employees were all put to a test last 2020 but we chose to thrive and not give up. 2021, gave a glimpse of hope too, with 4 newly onboarded accounts. Our team grew from a group of 6 to a group of 15 at the end of 2021. With majority working from home, newly hired employees and no face-to-face interaction, how can we have human connection in our team?Â
Communication and interaction are innate amongst us; hence, I anchored my goal with our weekly Cooee Connects. I revamped Wednesdays to be a fun o’clock instead of the normal huddle. I think this paved the way for the team to be comfortable and know each other. It was a surreal moment when I saw how each one of us interacted during our team building. Everyone was excited, communicated and treated each other as if they have met or seen each other for a long time.
As we close 2021, let us thank ourselves, our teammates and our partners for a year full of new beginnings and new learnings, our journey may not be smooth sailing, but we pressed on.
We don’t know what 2022 will bring us but let us face it with courage, let’s keep moving and learning.
